Could there be a better way to celebrate Trevor Noah's first month as host of The Daily Show than to appear as a guest on The Ellen DeGeneres Show?

"Today I am on @TheEllenShow. The other guest is a lady named @heidiklum, I think she's a model," Noah tweeted yesterday.
He looked comfortable in his grey pants, black cashmere top and now million-dollar smile while recounting his childhood under apartheid.
It turns out that, unlike his parents, he "was having a great time".
"I think I grew up normally and then I [would] go home to visit my grandmother and remember we had an outdoor toilet. Then I'm like, oh yeah ... seemed like a lot more fun when I was a kid."
Noah's first month running the show has gone smoothly. He has hung out with entertainment luminaries such as Lenny Kravitz, Chris Rock, Eddie Murphy, Jamie Foxx and Kevin Hart.
He has even had lunch with Dave Chappelle, the comic whose joke he was accused of stealing.
Last weekend he was snapped holding Formula1 champion Lewis Hamilton's trophy after the Brit won the US Grand Prix.
On the show, DeGeneres asked Noah to explain what it was like having a Swiss father and a black mother, and to explain why his mother was afraid to hold his hand when he was a child because they were of different races.
"I just thought this is what moms do; I had no references to other moms so I wasn't, like, 'Why isn't she holding my hand' ... It was like 'She's independent, she's cool, that's what she does'," said Noah.
DeGeneres and Noah traded tips on rollercoaster experiences, which led to DeGeneres giving him a helmet mounted with two cameras for his next rollercoaster ride, something he said he "really loves".
The episode aired yesterday in the US and will be broadcast on M-Net on Tuesday
.
