Nigeria's Super Eagles striker, Emmanuel Emenike, has alerted his friends and fans as he is the latest celebrity victim of impersonation and e-mail hacking.

Super Eagles striker, Emmanuel Emenike, who plays his professional football for Turkish side, Fernabache, is the latest celebrity victim of impersonation and e-mail hacking in a bid for fraud.
Emenike took to his Instagram page on Wednesday and revealed that someone infiltrated his e-mail and attempted to carry out fraudulent acts with his bank account, adding that the hacker(s), while impersonating him,'asked banks to send them money'.
The fraudulent email reads: “I hope this email finds you well? I am expecting an inflow 120,00 in my account (813534…). Kindly confirm if it has arrived. Also please confirm to me the exact balance on the account. I need to make a transfer instruction today. Please get back to me as soon as possible.”
The e-mail was signed with his name and sent to a certain Nevzat Yidrim while the subject was “funds transfer”.
The striker's attack by hackers lists him in the growing list of several Nigerian celebrities who have suffered internet impersonation and hacking.
Some of the other Nigerian celebrities who have been victims of hacking, include; Wizkid, Asisat Oshoala, D’banj, Don Jazzy, 2face Idibia, Ruggedman, Flavour and Yemi Alade.
