Pastor Steven Anderson preaches repentance and salvation.
JOHANNESBURG - Controversial American pastor Steven Anderson, known for his homophobic preaching, will be deported from Botswana.
The Botswana government posted this message on Facebook and Twitter on Tuesday morning.

Anderson was in the country on his “soul winning” tour”, preaching at the Faithful Word Baptist Church of Botswana, a branch of the Faithful Word Baptist Church in Arizona.
One of his colleagues spoke to a Botswana journalist shortly after Anderson was taken by immigration officials.
On Monday Anderson took to the internet again, lambasting the "sodomites" in Botswana and admitted to shoving an elderly protester.
Tony Benn, who calls himself asexual, was pushed and shoved by Anderson.
They say no reason for his arrest was given at the time but suspect he may be deported from Botswana #StevenAnderson #eNCA:@breakfast_reg
Talking about protesters who demonstrated at his first sermon in Botswana Anderson said, “they all claim that they live in Botswana but none of them were black and they didn’t have an accent like they were from around here.”

The pastor was scheduled to be in Botswana until Sunday.
Last week Minister of Home Affairs Malusi Gigaba denied Anderson’s request to enter South Africa based on the pastor’s hate speech against the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) community.
Gigaba said, “We will not be put under pressure by his insults to take a decision that may favour him as a person but will not favour the South African constitution.
Anderson called Gigaba “such a joke” for giving the “sodomites” false hope.
