Robbers Kills Man Just a Week After Flaunting $60,000 Cash on Facebook (Photos)

Robbers Kills Man Just a Week After Flaunting $60,000 Cash on Facebook (Photos)

It was meant to be a joke but it cost Tony Harris his life last week after he posted a picture on Facebook of his fiancee holding hundreds of dollar notes.

Is this the photo that caused Tony Harris' murder? He posted this picture of his partner holding bundles of cash

A 50-year old father-of-three identified as Tony Harris, has been shot dead by armed intruders who burst into his Philadelphia home on Monday, Oct. 12th, demanding, "Where's the money?", days after he posted a picture of his fiance, Amber Crane posing next to what appeared to be $60,000 large stacks of cash on Facebook.

The caption claimed Harris had 'misplaced' $60,000 and hoped his wife didn't spend it out shopping. "I misplaced $60,000. I hope my wife didn't go shopping with it." A week later, Harris was shot and killed.

According to the Police, three young men with guns had walked into the victim's home in the 1100 block of South Ruby Street in Kingsessing, Philadelphia at 11.30pm on Monday night.

Two of the masked intruders confronted Harris, who had been in the living room with his two youngest children. The third held a gun to Crane's head as they demanded to know 'where's the money.'

When she confessed he did not have any cash, telling the intruders the family was 'poor', one of the men shot her fiance in the head. He was rushed to the nearby Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in a critical condition but passed away in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

His fiance, who had been praying for him to recover, was devastated by his death. On her Facebook page, Crane said: 'He's gone. Y u that's all I'm asking my self in tears. This s**t is not fair. How am I supposed to go on now without you by my side?'

Investigators are looking into the possibility that the picture is connected with the case but said officers were 'still very early in the investigation,' Philly.com reported.
